STARS FROM STAGE AND SCREEN BOOKED TO HEADLINE AT THIS YEAR’S YEOVIL SHOW

SUPERSTARS from the big screen will be riding into Yeovil Town this summer to honour the annual Yeovil Show.

The Devil’s Horsemen, who have been booked as the headline act for this year’s Yeovil Show and will visit the country town for the first time, are as well recognised on the film circuit as some of the most prominent Oscar and Bafta-winning actors.  Amongst just a handful of the block buster productions in which the team and their steeds have appeared include Merlin, Macbeth, Pan and Maleficent.  UK TV productions include Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey and Wolf Hall.

The Devil’s horsemen are a team of show-stopping stunt riders who have based their supreme equestrian skills on those of the original Cossack riders whose prowess in horsemanship is widely renowned to be the most effective in military history.

The team coming to the Yeovil Show have been expertly trained by Father and Son duo, Gerard and Daniel Naprous and will be performing four dramatic sequences attired in full Cossack costume over the show weekend.

Each horse and its rider in the team have been groomed relentlessly in fitness, gymnastic ability and acrobatics.  These combined skills, coupled with the requisite taste for danger, result in a horse and rider partnership which operates seamlessly in tandem to bring dare devil acrobatics and impossible, jaw-dropping feats of horsemanship to audiences all over the world.

Event Director, Sam Mackenzie-Green said ‘We are delighted to have managed to secure the internationally renowned ‘Devil’s Horsemen’ for this year’s Yeovil Show. Their performance, along with hundreds of other family attractions planned for this year’s event including livestock competitions, a fun fair, Titan the Robot and a premier dog show, is really going to make this a Yeovil Show to remember.’

The Devil’s Horseman will perform two shows, each 30 minutes in length, on each day of the Yeovil Show.  For further details and to see the full line up of the main ring schedule, visit www.yeovilshow.org.
